“The best marketing doesn’t feel like marketing.” – Tom Fishburne
- Know Your Story
- Don’t offer what you think your clients/customers want but offer what they need solutions to.
- EMAILS! EMAILS! EMAILS! As soon as you can collect emails. This is gold. At anytime any social media platform could fail. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
- Build a relationship with your email list, they are your VIPS. Don’t heavy sell your list. Give them value, VIP access, special offers/discounts, etc.
- Know the goal of your posts on social media. Is the post meant to drive traffic to your website? Get likes/follows? Get Shares? Promote a special offer?
- Don’t forget the importance of Networking, even in a digital space.
- Pick one or two social media platforms that fit your business and brand and become an expert in that just those social media platforms. Don’t spread yourself too thin. Strategize.
- Know your demographic. What does your ideal customer look like? If my demographic are mostly vegetarians I am not going to do a steak dinner giveaway.
- Make Videos. They get more organic reach in algorithms. A video grabs someone’s attention in a fun, easy to digest way. They are easy to share and can be hosted on many channels, giving you back better ROI.
- Have 1 call-to-action in a video, graphic, post. People like to be told what to do and choice paralysis is real.
These are just some basic tips and reminders of Marketing Do’s and Do Not’s
